Desa Cepaka is a small very quiet village at Bali stuck between fields of rice and rivers which offers the traditional face of the true Balinese life. Simple and warm, attending to their activities, following the rhythm of religious rites and the ceremonies in the numerous village temples.
It is in this village that live Pa Made and his charming wife Ayu together with their 3 daughters, Oka, Nikki, and the little one Mikki. Made sells potteries at Ubud white Ayu cares for their children.
In front of the village's difficulties, Made had the idea to organize the reception of persons tired of holidays too organized and hotels all too similar. Sure, it is not the big confort that he can offer, but a clean and confortable bedroom with a Mandikamar, a bathroom often outside superbly pleasant view the ideal temperature.
He is not a professional of tourism. He is only a lover of his village and of its traditions.
The activities offered are simple and interesting in between the visits to the small village artisans like woodcarving, basket weaving, work silver in small adorable jewels and the day to day's life: balinese cooking, the ways to drape sarongs, repetition of Gamelan, Balinese dance and much more.
